PERC S300 RAID DRIVER

We are now just passing though the s Ok, so the s in s is software. However, when trying to setup the array, all the drives show gb? I just purchased four 1tb drives, to make a raid 5. raid – Bypass perc s on R II – Server Fault

Apparently, pdrc controller is only compatible with windows systems and there is no way to install anything else while this controller is in play. Server Fault works best with JavaScript enabled. Trying to install esxi on a Dell R II. However, If we just passed thought the controller, Windows could see the full 1tb drives.

From reading the specs from on the dell site, it shows it can support up to 2tb drives? Within the raid controller configuration, the drive only showed gb.

However, we had a drive failure. This is an older machine and as such has Perc S controller. Use of this site constitutes acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy. Update the firmware on all the things for that machine, T are not that young, and if you got it used, you can almost bet it was not brought up to snuff before it was sold. Your best bet is to contact Dell as they might even have drivers or an ESXi implementation that would work and see the disks.
